Hope is the door to healing
Meet The Therapist
Jessica Thomas, LCSW
Hi! I’m Jessica Thomas, a Texas-based Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 9 years of experience providing therapy for teens, adults, and couples. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, parenting, family challenges, and intimacy concerns.
I approach therapy with compassion, sensitivity, and respect, creating a safe space to explore your experiences. My work spans diverse settings, including community-based counseling and local non-profits, giving me broad experience with individual and couples therapy. I believe our emotions and behaviors are shaped by our relationships, family systems, and environment, and understanding your history helps us uncover factors that may be influencing your current struggles.
My approach integrates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Solution-Focused, and Client-Centered techniques, tailored to your unique needs. Together, we collaborate on treatment goals, exploring both emotional and physical responses while developing practical strategies for healing, growth, and lasting well-being.
Therapy can be a transformative process, and taking the first step is courageous. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey.

Confidence & Self-Esteem
Do you struggle with low confidence & self-esteem?
Self-confidence is a person's attitude about their capabilities and skills. A person with good self-confidence feels like they have control over their lives. Self-esteem is how a person perceives their own value and self-worth
Signs of low self-esteem include: saying negative things and being critical of yourself. Joking about yourself in a negative way. Focusing on your negatives and ignoring your achievements. Low confidence & self-esteem can create anxiety, stress, loneliness, and an increased likelihood of depression. It can cause problems with friendships and romantic relationships and seriously impair academic and job performance.
Greater self-confidence allows you to experience freedom from self-doubt and negative thoughts about yourself. Experiencing more fearlessness and less anxiety. Greater confidence makes you more willing to take smart risks and more able to move outside your comfort zone. Having greater freedom from social anxiety.
According to the American Psychological Association, having high self-esteem is key to positive mental health and well-being. High self-esteem matters because it helps you develop coping skills, handle adversity, and put the negative into perspective.
Working with a therapist can help you recognize and reduce negative self-talk, develop self-compassion and help you with goal-setting, all of which are linked to improved self-esteem.
